My friend Elyse Salazar and I participated in a 24 hour Design Challenge at SCAD (called Generate) back in October. The challenge for the Illustration department was to design a mural to go on the outside of the newly renovated Kroger store on Ponce De Leon in Atlanta. Elyse and I teamed up to make an awesome mural that we thought would best represent the combined history and culture of the neighboring Beltline communities.
Long story short, the mural that we designed won 2nd place and they liked it so much that they installed it inside the new kroger.
This is the Design that Kroger picked.
Color variation 2 (my personal favorite)
detail: The conductor
blob and unicorn dragon
dog with T-bone steak
ATL is for Lovers
The robot is my favorite, of course, but duck-fish is a close second!
The mural was installed by a local artist and scad illustration alum, Brandon Sadler.
It stretches through the produce section of the brand new Kroger interior.
